These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of mousetester.wiki and the MouseTester browser-based tool. By visiting the site or using the mouse tester, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Service description
MouseTester provides a browser-based interface and informational content for checking mouse button events, scroll direction, middle click, movement, dragging, double-click behavior and browser-estimated event frequency. The service is designed as a quick first check for common input troubleshooting.
The site may include interactive test surfaces, counters, event logs, status messages, troubleshooting guidance, analytics and advertising. We may add, remove or change features as the site evolves.
2. How to interpret results
A Detected result means that the browser received the corresponding event in the current test area. A Not visible or missing result may be caused by the browser, operating system, extension, driver, remapping software, remote desktop session or device. The browser estimate shown for event frequency is not a certified hardware polling-rate measurement.
A normal web page cannot directly read your physical mouse DPI or CPI setting, switch condition, click lifespan, debounce quality or internal electrical state. Test the device in the application where the problem occurs and use a manufacturer utility or hardware diagnostic when a deeper diagnosis is needed.
3. Your device and test environment
You are responsible for using a compatible browser, a functioning pointer device and a network and device environment that you trust. The full test is intended for a desktop browser with a physical mouse. Touch input is not equivalent to a physical mouse, and browser or operating-system settings can change which events a page receives.
You are also responsible for keeping your own records if a result matters to you. MouseTester is not a storage service, backup service or permanent diagnostic history.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, attack, overload or abuse the site.
- Do not bypass security controls, inject malicious code or interfere with another visitor's use of the service.
- Do not use the site in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of another person or organization.
- Do not misrepresent a browser result as a certified hardware measurement or professional diagnosis.
- Do not scrape or automate requests at a rate that harms site availability or creates unnecessary load.
5. Availability and changes
We may update, pause, restrict or remove the site or any feature at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent storage of results or compatibility with every browser, operating system, mouse or assistive technology.
Browser APIs, pointer-event behavior, extension settings and third-party services can change. If the mouse tester does not behave as expected in one environment, try a current version of another major browser and compare the result with the relevant operating-system or manufacturer utility.
6. Intellectual property
The original site text, layout, interface, organization and MouseTester branding are owned by MouseTester or their respective licensors unless otherwise stated. You may use the site for its intended personal or professional troubleshooting purpose, but you may not copy, resell or frame it in a way that suggests a false relationship with MouseTester.
Any third-party names, marks, browser names or hardware references remain the property of their respective owners.
7. External links and advertising
The site may link to browser documentation, hardware references, standards, advertising partners or other third-party resources. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, availability, privacy practices or terms. A link or advertisement does not mean we endorse every statement, product or service on the linked page.

8. Disclaimers
The site and mouse tester are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. We do not warrant that the tool will meet every requirement, identify every device fault, produce a particular result, remain available at all times or be free from errors, vulnerabilities or interruptions.
You are responsible for interpreting results, checking the device in other environments, making backups, and deciding whether to repair, replace or continue using hardware.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MouseTester and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, its results, its content, advertising, support communications or linked services. This includes lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption and replacement service costs.
